Holded is one of the best-known invoicing and management tools in Spain, and for good reason: a polished interface, CRM and projects included, and solid tax compliance. Even so, it's common to look for alternatives once a business changes size or needs: maybe the per-user and per-module pricing starts to add up, maybe a single freelancer needs something simpler, or maybe the business needs quite a bit more — an ERP with inventory, manufacturing, and connected operations.
There's no single "best" alternative in the abstract. Each option on this list solves a different kind of need well. The goal of this guide is to help you identify which one fits yours, not to steer you toward a particular one.
02 How to evaluate a Holded alternative
Before comparing tool by tool, it helps to be clear on the criteria:
Functional scope: do you only need invoicing and accounting, or also CRM, inventory, manufacturing, or operations?
Pricing model: per user, per module, per document volume, or a flat fee independent of usage.
Spanish tax compliance: Verifactu, TicketBAI, and SII are non-negotiable if you invoice in Spain; it's worth confirming exactly how much coverage each plan includes.
Learning curve: how long your team needs to become productive.
Data portability: how easy it is to leave the tool if you change your mind down the line.
03 Six Holded alternatives (in alphabetical order)
A3innuva (Wolters Kluwer)
A modular cloud platform from Wolters Kluwer, stronger on payroll, HR, and accounting than on pure invoicing. Its a3innuva ERP version adds invoicing, purchasing, and sales in the same environment, with a published entry price starting at around 26 €/month for SMEs; the final cost depends on the modules activated and the number of users, and payroll or more advanced versions require a custom quote.
Best for: businesses already working with advisory firms tied into the Wolters Kluwer ecosystem, or that need a robust payroll engine alongside invoicing.
Keep in mind: final pricing is less transparent than some other options — several modules require a custom quote — and it's worth confirming support response times before deciding.
Billin (TeamSystem)
Invoicing software aimed at freelancers and microbusinesses, with more than 180,000 registered users according to its own website. It's a pure invoicing tool, not an ERP: it doesn't include advanced accounting or complex stock management. According to prices verified against billin.net, its plans range from around 6.6 €/month on the Basic plan up to 83.3 €/month on the Unlimited Plus plan, all excluding VAT.
Best for: freelancers with light administrative needs who just need to issue invoices, quotes, and delivery notes quickly, with Verifactu already built in.
Keep in mind: the entry plan has limits on clients, products, and documents digitized per month; as a business grows it's easy to outgrow it and need to move up a tier.
Binhex Cloud (built on Odoo)
Unlike the other tools on this list, Binhex Cloud isn't invoicing software with add-on modules — it's a full ERP from day one: invoicing, accounting, CRM, multi-warehouse inventory, manufacturing, and a website, with no extra cost per user or per module. There's a free plan with full access to every module, and paid plans are billed for infrastructure and support, not for unlocking features.
Best for: businesses that expect — now or in 2-3 years — to need invoicing, inventory, CRM, and operations running on the same database, and that value full code ownership (open source).
Keep in mind: because it covers more of the business, initial setup takes somewhat longer than a pure invoicing tool; Binhex offsets that with built-in AI agents.
Contasimple (Cegid)
Invoicing and accounting software launched in 2009 and acquired by Cegid in 2022, with a permanent free plan that includes basic invoicing and Verifactu. Paid plans, based on recently verified pricing, range from around 10.95 €/month on the Professional plan to 15.95 €/month on the Ultimate plan with annual billing, VAT not included.
Best for: freelancers just starting out who want a no-cost entry point with a very low learning curve.
Keep in mind: advanced management features (inventory, CRM, operations) fall outside its scope; it's built for invoicing and basic accounting, not for scaling into a full ERP.
Factusol (TeamSystem)
Invoicing and inventory management software with decades of track record in Spain, now also available in the cloud. Its strength is a very complete sales and purchasing cycle, with well-established Spanish tax compliance. Based on pricing published by sdelsol.com and verified in June 2026, single-user cloud plans range from around 19.50 €/month (updates only) to 46.50 €/month (with phone support); accounting is sold separately, as a standalone product within the TeamSystem ecosystem (Contasol).
Best for: businesses whose operations center on invoicing and inventory control, and that already use or value the TeamSystem ecosystem (Contasol, Nominasol).
Keep in mind: it requires Windows for local use, and accounting isn't built in — it has to be added as a separate product.
Quipu (TeamSystem)
Invoicing and cash-flow software for freelancers and SMEs, with more than 10 years in the market. Its strength is unlimited invoicing plus auto-filled tax forms (303, 130, 111, 115, among others). According to sources citing its official pricing page, plans start at around 16 €/month (13 €/month with annual billing), and full bank connectivity requires a higher tier.
Best for: freelancers and small businesses that want to automate quarterly tax filings and don't need stock management or point of sale.
Keep in mind: it doesn't include stock reconciliation or POS, and advisor collaboration or onboarding sessions carry an additional cost.

Questions you're probably asking
Contasimple, Billin, and Quipu are the closest in concept: subscription-based invoicing and accounting software, mainly aimed at freelancers and small SMEs. A3innuva is closer on the payroll and advisory-ecosystem side. Binhex Cloud and Factusol stand apart by including, respectively, a full ERP or deeper inventory management.
All six state Verifactu coverage in their current 2026 plans, though the exact scope (invoices included, cost of the SII module, etc.) varies. It's worth confirming directly with each provider before signing up, especially if your business is already within the mandatory compliance calendar.
It depends on the direction of that growth. If you're going to add more invoicing volume and tax filings, tools like Quipu or Contasimple scale well within their category. If you're going to add inventory, manufacturing, or several connected operational areas, it's worth looking at a full ERP like Binhex Cloud or, if the focus stays on inventory and sales, Factusol.
Most allow exporting invoices, clients, and products in standard formats (CSV, PDF).
