Duwison Guitián began operations in 1994 and, as a result of its growth and increasing needs, began to face serious difficulties in processing purchase orders, delivering products, managing SKU expiration dates, and lacking control and traceability. Loss of merchandise during delivery and the resulting losses due to this lack of control became increasingly evident.

The factors mentioned above led to the directive They proposed a change in technology, after having quantified the levels of losses that this problem caused them. 

They were able to radically change their original approach, moving from an isolated platform with little cohesion and lack of integration (manual processes, Excel spreadsheets, closed billing system) to a comprehensive platform with a scalable architecture and ubiquitous access, as is the case. Objectives and challenges of logistics implementation with Odoo 

One of the immediate challenges was analyzing the various requirements and offering the necessary solutions. The decision to transform non-critical processes first eliminated barriers with users, allowing us to show them immediate solutions. Processes that previously took them hours of work could now be resolved with just a few clicks in the application. 

To address the critical processes of implementing Odoo logistics software, we focus our efforts on achieving the following objectives:

• We implemented the warehouse module: to manage product inventory, verify the status of goods, and track the entry and exit of SKUs. We developed an application to complement the robust inventory module, which allows logistics personnel to record the temperature from the moment of collection and delivery of goods, monitor the status of the transport truck, perform quality controls, and even take photographs of the process.  
• We digitize processes: such as IT infrastructure, systems replication and security, attendance control, access control, employee portal, purchasing workflow, Odoo CRMSales, website, fleet, logistics, inventory logistics, purchasing, Odoo accounting, email marketing, quality control, etc.
• We have developed a logistics control application that allows carriers to access pending delivery notes from a PDA and carry out the goods delivery process with customer acceptance. 

The work of the Odoo community was a fundamental part of the project. More than 87 community applications were required for its implementation.
