ERP PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Most ERP projects fail because
no one is actually running them.

Binhex brings structured governance to complex Odoo implementations — defined scope, milestone-based delivery, and full accountability from kickoff to go-live.

Why ERP projects fail — and how we prevent it

The typical ERP project

Scope that expands with every meeting

No one accountable for decisions or delays

Budget overruns discovered too late to act

Go-live postponed indefinitely

Team exhausted, adoption never happens

How Binhex runs ERP projects

Scope locked before configuration begins

Dedicated PM accountable for every milestone

Budget tracking and change control from day one

Go-live date defined and defended

Structured handover ensures real adoption

Built for complex ERP projects that can't afford to go wrong.

The bigger the project, the bigger the risk. Without proper governance, timelines slip, budgets expand, and no one takes ownership. This service is for companies that need certainty, not just effort.

Mid-size company running a complex ERP implementation with Binhex project management

Mid-size companies of 50–500 people

Too complex for a simple setup, too much at stake for a loose approach. You need governance built into the project from day one.

Multi-department rollouts

When Finance, Operations, and Sales all need to go live aligned — without one department blocking another.

Migrations from legacy ERP

Replacing SAP, Sage, or Navision involves process, data, and change management complexity that needs a dedicated director, not just a developer.

What's included in ERP Project Management

Every Binhex implementation comes with a governance layer that keeps scope, budget, and timeline under control — from kickoff to handover.

Project blueprint and scope definition

Locked before anything starts.

A detailed functional blueprint that defines processes, priorities, and boundaries — agreed and signed off before a single module is touched.

Milestone-based project plan

Every phase has a deliverable.

A structured plan with phases, milestones, owners, and deadlines — updated throughout the project and visible to all stakeholders.

Change control process

No surprises on budget or timeline.

Every change request is assessed for impact before approval. Nothing gets added to scope without documented sign-off from both sides.

Reporting and stakeholder communication

Full visibility at every stage.

Weekly status reports, escalation paths, and structured steering meetings so leadership always knows where the project stands.

Risk identification and mitigation

Problems caught before they escalate.

A live risk register updated throughout the project, with mitigation plans for technical, organizational, and data-related risks.

Go-live governance and handover

The project closes properly.

Structured go-live checklist, hypercare period, and full documentation handover so nothing is lost when the project team steps back.

How we govern your ERP project

A structured process designed for complex implementations — not just quick setups.

1

Kickoff and scope lock

We define objectives, process boundaries, and success criteria. Nothing starts until scope is agreed and signed.

2

Build and sprint governance

Configuration runs in controlled sprints with regular reviews, milestone approvals, and change control at every step.

3

Validation and UAT

User acceptance testing per department. Each team signs off their workflows before go-live is approved.

4

Go-live and handover

Structured launch with hypercare, monitoring, and full documentation handover to your team and support.

Emma — AI assistant built into Binhex Workspace, available from go-live day one
POWERED BY AI

Once the project closes, Emma takes over.

When your implementation is complete, your team has Emma — Binhex's built-in AI assistant — available from the moment they log in. Instead of opening a support ticket every time someone forgets how a process works, they ask Emma. She knows your Odoo, your modules, and your workflows.

The project ends. Emma stays.

Common questions

Questions about ERP Project Management

It is built into every complex Odoo implementation Binhex delivers. You are not hiring a standalone project manager — you are hiring an implementation team that comes with structured governance, milestone control, and full accountability included.

Typically companies with 50 or more employees, multi-department rollouts, or migrations from legacy ERP systems like SAP, Sage, or Navision. If your project involves more than 3 departments or more than 6 months of work, structured governance is not optional. For smaller scopes, ERP Quick Start may be a better fit.

Every change request goes through a formal change control process. We assess the impact on timeline, budget, and scope before approving anything. No change is implemented without documented sign-off from both sides.

We assign a dedicated PM who coordinates across all departments, runs structured workshops per area, and ensures sign-off at each milestone before moving forward. No department goes live until all dependencies are validated.

Once the project closes, you transition to our Support and Maintenance service for ongoing ERP operations. Your project documentation, workflows, and configurations are fully handed over so nothing is lost when the project team steps back.

560+ Odoo projects delivered on 15 years of structured implementations

Binhex has managed complex ERP rollouts across Finance, Operations, and Logistics for mid-size companies in the US and Spain. We know what breaks projects — and how to prevent it.

"We had tried two other implementations before Binhex. The difference was having a real project manager — someone who controlled scope and kept everyone accountable."
