01 Intro

If you’re comparing Binhex Cloud and Factusol, you likely have a specific question on your mind: Do I need a robust, well-established invoicing program, or an ERP that unifies all business operations on a single platform?

They aren’t in the same product category. Factusol (TeamSystem) is a specialized invoicing and inventory management program, with decades of use in Spain and impeccable tax compliance. Binhex Cloud, built on open-source code, is a comprehensive ERP that includes invoicing, accounting, CRM, e-commerce, and more—all accessible through a single interface.

The decision isn’t about which is “better” in the abstract. It depends on how many areas of your business you need to manage from a single tool and how you envision your growth.

Key differences we'll cover:

Functional Scope: Desktop-born invoicing vs. an all-in-one operational ERP (Web, CRM, Stocks).

Licensing Model: Compulsory subscription tiers vs. a €0 software licensing structure.

Architecture: Closed-ecosystem databases vs. total data ownership and portable open-source code.

02 Traditional Billing vs. All-in-One SaaS: Different Philosophies

Binhex Cloud and Factusol attract similar businesses: Growing companies tired of spreadsheets. But solve the problem differently:

Factusol It began as a desktop invoicing program and has evolved into a cloud-based solution while maintaining its specialized focus. Its strength lies in delivering exactly what it promises: sales and purchasing cycles, inventory control, compliance with Spanish tax regulations (VeriFactu, TicketBAI, SII, Factura-e), and integration with the TeamSystem ecosystem (Contasol, Nominasol, TPVsol). It is a familiar solution for administrative staff trained in Spain, and its initial learning curve is low for standard invoicing tasks. If your operations focus on invoicing, inventory control, and managing the sales cycle, Factusol handles these tasks reliably.

Binhex Cloud It takes a different approach: all modules—billing, accounting, CRM, inventory, manufacturing, e-commerce, web, HR, and helpdesk—are available from day one without paying for additional licenses. The trade-off is real: the platform is more comprehensive and requires more time for initial setup. To offset this learning curve, Binhex incorporates AI agents that guide the user through the system from the very first login, reducing implementation friction. This model makes sense if the business needs—or will need in 2–3 years—to coordinate various operational areas without having to build bridges between different tools.

03 Binhex Cloud vs Factusol: Side by Side

If you're evaluating both platforms, this table summarizes what matters. The first six rows are usually what decides the choice.

Emerging pattern: Factusol is optimized for a company’s first year, when it needs to handle invoicing effectively. Binhex is optimized for the third year, when that same company needs its invoicing, CRM, inventory, and website systems to integrate with one another.

04 Actual prices and 5-year cost

Factusol: Pricing Structure (Cloud, verified by sdelsol.com — June 2026)

Pricing is based on support level and the number of users or companies. All plans include the same features; the only difference is the support channel available.

1 user, 1 company:

  • Updates only (no support): ~€19.50/month → ~€234/year
  • Email support (24–48 hours): ~€30.50/month → ~€366/year
  • Phone support: ~€46.50/month → ~€558/year

5 users, 2 companies:

  • Updates only: ~€44.50/month → ~€534/year
  • Email support: ~€63/month → ~€756/year
  • Phone support: ~€82/month → ~€984/year

Binhex Cloud: Pricing Structure

  • Free plan: 1 user, full access to all modules, no license fee.
  • Payment plans: investment in managed infrastructure, hosting, and specialized technical support. Maintenance is included in the cost of hosting; there are no separate charges for updates or maintenance.
  • No cost for additional users or for unlocking modules. Accounting, CRM, eCommerce, and manufacturing are included from the start.

Real example: Distribution company, 5 users, needs invoicing + inventory management + CRM + basic accounting.

Factusol: If you opt for the email support plan for 5 users in Factusol (~€756/year) plus a separate Contasol license and a separate CRM (prices upon request), the total cost of licenses clearly exceeds €1,000/year in software subscriptions alone.

Binhex Cloud: Those same features are all accessible through a single interface. The cost is that of managed hosting, with no additional licenses per module or per user.

05 Scalability: What Happens When You Grow?

Factusol is designed to grow within its ecosystem: if you add users, companies, or need accounting or payroll, you add products from the TeamSystem catalog. It is a modular model by product, where each new functional need entails a new subscription line. Within its specialty—billing and stock—the program is robust at any size.

Binhex Cloud operates with a different model: access to all modules does not change with the number of users or operational complexity. A team of 5 people and one of 50 use the same CRM, manufacturing, and inventory modules. The cost scales by infrastructure, not by functionality.

What this means in practice:

  • Adding a user in Binhex does not increase the cost of licenses.
  • Activating the manufacturing module in year 3 does not require purchasing a new product.
  • The eCommerce store and the website are part of the same platform from the start.

What unlimited capability access means in practice:

Same modules, any size: A 5-person startup and a 50-person manufacturer use identical CRM, inventory, and manufacturing modules.

No artificial transaction limits: We do not enforce caps on the volume of digital invoices, customer files, or transactions processed per year.

Seamless user growth: Expanding your administrative, sales, or warehouse staff does not force a migration to an entirely different corporate product tier.

Future-proof from day one: Need manufacturing capabilities in year 3? They're already there. Explore our full module library to see what's available.

06 Vendor Lock-in vs. Data Ownership

Here's the question nobody asks during demos but everyone wishes they had: what if you need to switch providers in 2-3 years?

1

The lock

Factusol and most SaaS platforms are proprietary. You can export data (CSV, PDF), but your system configurations, customizations, and workflows stay with them. Switching means rebuilding everything from scratch.

2

Full Source Control

Binhex Cloud runs GPL-licensed open-source software. You own the code, you own the data, you own the configurations. Unhappy with us? Download your database and move to any other Odoo provider, or run it yourself.

3

Proven Portability

We've helped clients migrate away when another provider was a better fit. That optionality isn't theoretical, it keeps everyone honest. Your business should never be held hostage by your software vendor.

07 Which Platform Matches Your Situation?

The best choice depends on your current context and where your company is going. Here's the framework based on real implementations:

Choose Binhex Cloud when:
You’re planning to grow your team from 10 to 100 people over the next 3–5 years and don’t want that growth to drive up software costs.

You need your billing, CRM, inventory, e-commerce, and website to be part of a single platform, not separate applications connected by integrations.

Code ownership and data portability are key to your technology strategy.

You’re willing to invest time in the initial setup in exchange for a platform that doesn’t impose long-term functional limitations.

You want guided support from the start: built-in AI agents reduce the learning curve from day one.

Choose Factusol if:
Your core operations involve invoicing, collections/payments, and inventory management, with no need to integrate other areas in the short term.

You already use Contasol or Nominasol from TeamSystem and value the native integration between their products.

You need to install the software on-premises (on your own servers or PCs) and have direct control over where the data is stored.

You are a freelancer or micro-SME with standard invoicing needs in Spain and prefer a familiar environment with an interface that local administrative staff are comfortable with.

You need a solution up and running within hours, with no configuration process.

Questions you're probably asking

Yes. We extract your data (Factusol allows CSV/Excel exports), map it to Odoo's structure, and import customers, products, invoices, and inventory. Typical migration takes 2-4 weeks with parallel systems during transition. Most teams are fully operational within a month.

It depends on which modules you need. Factusol Cloud with email support alone costs approximately €366/year for one user. If, in year 2, you add Contasol (separate subscription), CRM (separate subscription), and one additional user, the costs are added up separately. We recommend asking TeamSystem for a detailed quote that includes all the products you would need, and comparing it to Binhex’s hosting costs for the same functional coverage.

That’s a valid question, and the answer is straightforward: Binhex offers more modules and more configuration options. Factusol does fewer things but handles them in a more guided way for standard use cases. The difference has narrowed thanks to the AI agents that assist users with the initial setup, but it’s still there. If your team has no prior experience with ERPs, you’ll need to factor in some training time at the start.

Completely. We support SII, TicketBAI, Batuz, and Verifactu through OCA-certified modules. Many of our clients are Spanish SMEs managing Hacienda reporting directly from the system.

It’s entirely possible. The cost of migrating later on is higher (more accumulated data, more configured processes), but it’s not an insurmountable obstacle. The decision to migrate usually arises when the business needs features that Factusol doesn’t natively support—integrated CRM, e-commerce, manufacturing—and the cost of connecting different products begins to exceed that of a unified platform.
