New expansion of the 2026 Digital Kit: everything you need to know

Everything you need to know

If you requested the Digital Kit and your file was put on hold due to lack of budget, this information is for you.

The Government has confirmed a further expansion of the Digital Kit funds in 2026, primarily intended to unlock outstanding bonds that could not be granted in previous calls.

But… what does this mean?

We'll explain it to you plainly.

What happens to pending Digital Kit requests?

The administration's current priority is clear: to resolve first the cases that were left on the waiting list.

This means that:

  • New funds will be allocated to applications already submitted.
  • Incomplete files will be reviewed.
  • Businesses that were left out due to budget exhaustion will be given a way out.

If you already applied for the bonus, this extension works in your favor.

Will there be new calls for applications for the Digital Kit in 2026?

The application period will likely reopen if funds remain available after the pending cases are resolved.

However:

  • It will depend on the implementation of the Next Generation EU European funds.
  • There is no official reopening date yet.

Therefore, the best move now is to be prepared before the call for applications is reactivated.

Current amounts of the Digital Kit by segment

Segment I
  •  Companies with 10 to 49 employees
  • Aid of up to €12,000
Segment II
  • Companies with 3 to 9 employees
  • Aid of up to €6,000
Segment III
  •  Companies with 0 to 2 employees (including freelancers)
  • Aid of up to €2,000

Requirements to request the Digital Kitl

In the event of a new opening, the key requirements will remain:

  • Be self-employed or an SME based in Spain (0-49 employees).
  • Be up to date with Tax and Social Security.
  • Do not exceed de minimis aid limits.
  • Take the self-diagnostic test at Acelera Pyme.
  • Be registered in the Register of Entrepreneurs.

What can you invest your Digital Kit bonus in?

The program covers solutions such as:

  • Website development.
  • E-commerce.
  • CRM (customer relationship management).
  • ERP (process management).
  • Electronic invoice.
  • Digital marketing and online presence.

The key is not to spend the bonus. It's to invest it strategically so that it generates a return.

How to prepare now so you don't get left out

If we learned anything from previous calls for proposals, it's this:

Waiting until the last minute = losing the help.

Practical recommendations:

  1. Check if your file is still active.
  2. Make sure you have all your documentation up to date.
  3. Define what digital solution your business really needs.
  4. Contact a digitization agent before the deadline opens.

Why work with a digitizing agent from now on?

Because when the call for applications is reactivated:

  • The funds are disappearing.
  • The procedures are becoming overloaded.
  • Mistakes cost time.

A digitizing agent:

  • Manage your request.
  • Corrects previous errors.
  • Submit the documentation correctly.
  • Implement the solution and justify the help.

2026 can be your second chance

The expansion of the Digital Kit 2026 is a real opportunity to:

✔ Companies that were placed on the waiting list

✔Businesses that did not apply for it

✔ Self-employed individuals who want to digitize their businesses without assuming the full cost

But opportunities don't give you a second warning.

If you want to know if your business can benefit, it's time to analyze your situation and prepare.

Don't miss out on the 2026 Digital Kit.

If you're thinking of taking advantage of this opportunity for your SME, now is the time to get informed and prepare.
